An ode to the men in blue

I have always admired the colour blue

But never felt it’s real charm than on a stadium

To the men in blue

You always made it look brighter

The joy that you gave is beyond words

The power in your mighty sixes

They made our hearts palpitate

The respect you gave to your admirers

We take pride in that like our National Anthem

Your bravery on the field was no less than a warrior

And that run between the stumps like a sprinter

Glory to the billions of people out there

The chants of Vande Mataram by the crowd

It felt no less than hymns of my daily prayer

I still wonder how these days passed by

The magnificent display of passion on and off the field

More than the anguish we cherish the joy you gave

A fortunate generation, who could experience this show

Dear men in blue,

Our hearts will always Bleed Blue
